Thnx a bunch. My daughter was born with a headful of BEAUTIFUL thick hair but it seems that since I've been combing it is breaking. Now I see it is my fault cause IVe been doin everything u said not to do from the ponytails to the vaseline. She still has a nice grade of hair as well as a nice amount but I'm glad I found this site before the situation worsened. Thanx a bunch!!!

My son is 6 months old and he has very soft and curly hair. I use mineral oil on his scalp after washing his hair with HoneyBee Shampoo. His hair is growing just fine but sometimes his hair looks a little dry. Any ideas on what I should do. Keep in mind that im half Puerto Rican so our hair is really fine and straight. Thank You !

Hi, I have a 6month old with really manageable hair. It's really long at the top, in the back, and on the lower sides. But she doesn't have none in the front and on the sides and in the center of the back of her head. It was like this since birth. I started out doing nothing to her hair and I got no results. It started to get dry and break off. Then at 4months I started using Doo-gro oil and it seemed like it worked but my Mom told me that it'll only make it worse. So I stopped using it... She told me to use Baby Oil and Vaseline, BIG MISTAKE! Because that only made it worse and stopped growing! ... So I just started to use the Organics Olive Oil Sheen Spray. I just wanted to know is that good? (Olive Oil) And should I also continue with the Doo-gro?

Please reply back, THANKS!

You shouldn't be be spraying anything aroundca 6 month old. Do notvuse the doovgrow. Go to the beauty supply store and buy pure shea butter. Then buy some olive oil and a plastic bowl or container with a lid. Scoop out 5 or six table spoons of shea butter and heat in microwave until it melts and pour in 1/4 of a cups of olive oil and mix. After washing babies hair place mixture on scalp and message in hair while it is wet. Co-wash the hair once every week (put conditioner on it instead of shampoo and rinse). wash with shampoo 1x per month. Keep hair in protective styles like twists to avoid daily combing which breaks the hair and you should begin seeing growth monthly if not sooner. The she butter and olive mixture can be put in a spray bottle and sprayed into your hand then rubbed onto babies scalp n hair. Great moiturizervfor your hair and skin as well. Good luck!

I'm having problems with both my son and daughter. First my son; his scalp stays dry no matter what I put in his hair. I do use Selsun Blue with the red cap in his hair and dry and apply moisture with some type of grease before it dries. Or vice versa. I just dont know what to do. Sometimes he will have these little white patches in his head. For my daughter she is 5, Her hair is fairly long. Im not very experienced with the know-hows of hair doing. My mother wasnt very savvy either. But my thing is this. Her hair is extremely thick. I have to blow dry her hair before it dries or all hell breaks loose. So basicaly my problem is how can i control the amount of heat I apply to her hair. And for my son should I take him to his ped and see they can prescribe something for his dry scalp???

Hi, I was wondering what to use in my sons hair he is mixed with white. Ive been shampooing with johnson baby shampoo and noticed hes balding in back n on sides so I stopped shampooing as much also I was using wonder max grow herbal recipe and it has alot of good oils like almond, safflower, wheatgerm, shea butter, macadamia, pistachio& coconut also keratin protein and letchin but it hasnt made any new growth but does leave his hair moisturized. I also bought vitamin e oil & olive oil n both contain fragrance and mineral oil are these ok to use? Should I get pure oil instead? & any suggestions on shampoos?

Make sure she isnt spending too much lying down. If she is when she is turning her head from side to side exploring it causes hair loss and breakage in those areas. dont make the pony tails, rubberbands cause breakage and if you are pulling tight that damages hair follicles. Moisturize with natural oils like shea butter and olive oil. Dont comb all the time put hair in protective stle likectwist if possible or leave a cute fro if african american cute barrettes or headband when going out can be quite cute. Good luck.

I have a 9 week old little girl, and two sons. I made the mistake of cutting their hair too early and now it is very course. I am excited to have a little girl, and hope to not make mistakes when growing her hair. Since she is 9 weeks, I dont put anything on her hair but would like to use hair milk by carols daughter. I heard it was good, could anyone tell me if they have used any of carols daughter products? What age can I start treating her hair?

I really love the hair milk for my daughter's hair however I wont use the shampoo because even though it says it's moisturizing, I've found that it actually dries her hair out and gives her dandruff, so find an alternative shampoo and conditioner but the cream product works beautifully.

my daughter is now 14 months she was born with thin soft hair. Around 6 months she got cradle cap and lost the hair on her sides and back. My family calls it a smiley face. Her hair is still soft, but the middle has become very thick and dry. I use castor oil and olive oil on her hair daily. I wash her hair with Johnson weekly, but that's it. Her hair has yet to grow.
